PC gamers (and I guess you Mac folks too) should be aware of the huge sale on Steam right now. Here’s a few must-purchase games:
People who don’t care, selling products to people who care less. — Seth Godin on most traditional marketing.
Anonymous asked: Your in marketing so you meet new people all the time. How many times do you have to see someone at events before you remember who they are?
Great question - it depends on the amount of interaction, and the setting we met.
If someone does something to stand out, I will usually remember them - good or bad. Generally speaking though, if I’ve never met someone before, I’d say after meeting them 2-3 times I’ll remember them.
On our trip Heather and I brought only one game, a card game called quiddler.
Each player gets dealt cards with letters and points on them (think Scrabble tiles, but sometimes the cards have multiple letters), and each player draws and throws out in an attempt to spell the words with the most points.
You must play all your words at once, and still have one left to discard
There’s a bonus for the player with the longest word and the player with the most words spelled. (In a 2-player game, only one of these bonuses is used.)
It’s a fun game than anyone can play, and it costs about $10-$12 on Amazon.

Anonymous asked: 2009 was a good year for gaming. What were your top five games of 2009?
2009 was a GREAT year for gaming! I hate making top 5 lists because I always forget a game or two, but here goes:
Maybe heading to the grand opening of a theme park based on one of the most popular IPs in the world wasn’t the best idea.
Reports of folks standing in line for 6-8 hours just to enter the park, and then an additional 1-2 hour wait to get on a ride.
As I stand in the hot Orlando sun - sweaty, sticky, frustrated, tired, and bored - think of where you are reading this, and smile knowing that you aren’t in the hot Orlando sun.
If you enjoy watching folks suffer, here’s a video of the line.
Cats are like girls. If they talk to you it’s great, but if you try to talk to them, it doesn’t go so well. — Shigeru Miyamoto
This Cyanide & Happiness comic made me chuckle. They usually do.
